Candle Safety Tips

  1. Never Leave a Candle Unattended
Always extinguish candles when leaving a room or going to sleep. Unattended candles can cause fires.

  2. Keep Candles Away from Flammable Objects
Ensure candles are placed far from anything that can catch fire, such as curtains, books, or paper.

  3. Trim the Wick
Before each use, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch to prevent uneven burning, dripping, and excessive soot.

  4. Use a Candle Holder
Always use a stable, heat-resistant candle holder to catch melted wax and avoid damaging surfaces.

  5. Place on a Stable, Heat-Resistant Surface
Set candles on a level surface that is resistant to heat to prevent tipping or heat damage.

  6. Keep Out of Reach of Children and Pets
Make sure candles are placed high enough to avoid being knocked over by pets or accessed by children.

  7. Avoid Drafts
Keep candles away from vents, fans, and open windows, as drafts can cause uneven burning or excessive smoke.

  8. Follow Burn Time Guidelines
For best results, allow candles to burn for 2-4 hours at a time. This helps create an even melt pool and avoids tunneling.

  9. Extinguish Safely
Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out candles to avoid splattering hot wax. Don’t use water to extinguish a candle, as it can cause the wax to splatter or break glass containers.

  10. Stop Using When 1/2 Inch of Wax Remains
Extinguish the candle when about 1/2 inch of wax is left at the bottom. Burning past this point may cause the container to overheat and crack.

These tips ensure a safe and enjoyable candle experience.
